Located 35 miles from McBride in BC’s Robson Valley, Crescent Spur Helicopter Holidays offers small group heli-hiking in some of the most remote and spectacular mountain terrain in Canada.
Each day begins with a helicopter drop into otherwise unreachable alpine terrain in the Rocky and Cariboo Mountains — ridgelines, glaciers, wildflower meadows, and high-elevation lakes that no trail will ever reach. An ACMG-certified mountain guide sets the pace and tailors each day to the group, whether that means a summit push or a more relaxed traverse.
With a maximum of 5 hiking guests per trip, the experience is genuinely personal. Guests stay at the Crescent Spur wilderness lodge and are served exceptional meals after each day in the mountains. Heli-hiking runs July through August, alongside the heli-fishing program, making it an ideal choice for couples or groups with mixed interests.
