Heli-Fishing

Cold mountain waters near McBride support strong populations of Bull Trout, often exceeding 30 inches, wild Rainbow Trout and alpine Lake Trout.

Located 35 miles from McBride in the remote wilderness of BC’s Robson Valley, Crescent Spur Helicopter Holidays offers one of the most exclusive fly-fishing experiences in Canada.

From a boutique wilderness lodge, anglers access pristine rivers, freestone streams, and remote alpine lakes by helicopter, raft, and jet boat. All trips are fully guided, with a 2:1 angler to guide ratio. We fish catch-and-release for Bull Trout in gin-clear mountain streams and rivers, and for Rainbow Trout in turquoise alpine lakes.

With a maximum of 50 anglers per season and an intentionally short season timed to the peak Bull Trout fishery, fishing pressure on these waters remains exceptionally low. Heli-fishing runs July through August.

All trips are booked in advance. Please contact us by phone or through our website to plan your visit.

Heli-Hiking

Helicopter access to hiking in the spectacular Rocky and Cariboo Mountains is an experience like no other.

Located 35 miles from McBride in BC’s Robson Valley, Crescent Spur Helicopter Holidays offers small group heli-hiking in some of the most remote and spectacular mountain terrain in Canada.

Each day begins with a helicopter drop into otherwise unreachable alpine terrain in the Rocky and Cariboo Mountains — ridgelines, glaciers, wildflower meadows, and high-elevation lakes that no trail will ever reach. An ACMG-certified mountain guide sets the pace and tailors each day to the group, whether that means a summit push or a more relaxed traverse.

With a maximum of 5 hiking guests per trip, the experience is genuinely personal. Guests stay at the Crescent Spur wilderness lodge and are served exceptional meals after each day in the mountains. Heli-hiking runs July through August, alongside the heli-fishing program, making it an ideal choice for couples or groups with mixed interests.

All trips are booked in advance. Please contact us by phone or through our website to plan your visit.
